Tony Stewart

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
“This could be Heaven or this could be Hell”
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say…

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)

The Auto Club 400 was rain shortened Sunday, and the winner for the second tome this season was the 2011 Sprint Cup champion, Tony Stewart.

Most of the players fared not too badly this week.  Nobody really laid a big bomb this week with their picks.  However, for those of us who had chosen “Big Daddy”, Jeff Gordon this week, yours truly, Zee, Scott, Richard, and Bernie, we were the unfortunate recipient of the lowest scores!  Conversely, the two players who racked up the biggest numbers were Jerry and Carlton.  Both selected “Mr. Where Did He Come From”,Kevin Harvick.

Once again the standings moved around just a little bit this week.  The biggest mover was Jerry, moving up four spots in the standings. After scoring a whopping 5 points in the Daytona 500 he has made a huge improvements each and every week.

The next biggest movers were, Leon, Bernie, and Zee.  All three of us lost two spots in the standings!

Notwithstanding all the movement within the standings, there is only 36 points between the first place player and the tenth place player.  So with seven races left, more than half of the segment races, it is still anybody’s game!

TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR BELTS TIGHT, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’
