Once again the dominate race car did not take home the prize!
Today Martin Truex, Jr. was just effortlessly “Following The Yellow Brick Road”, leading a total of 173 laps today at the Kansas Speedway. It appeared that Truex was going to cancel his 174 race winning drought, pick up Micheal Waltrip Racing’s third win in their six year history, and boost his image as the new team leader. However it was not to be, as Denny Hamlin passed Truex very late in the race, and motored on to his second victory of the 2012 season.
How did we do today?
For the three players who selected Matt Kenseth, Carole, Zee, and yours truly, we/they were the highest scoring players, 41 points, for the STP 400. Jeremy was the next highest scoring player. He was “sticking with The Biff”, and for that he received 39 points. Richard scored 38 points riding along with Kevin Harvick as his driver. Jerry, Carlton, and Scott were rewarded nicely, 36 points, as Kasey Kahne has broken away from all the bad luck that has plagued him in the first seven races of the 2012 season. The only other player who received a decent day was Carolyn, who had Tony Stewart as he pick, scoring 31 points.
The rest of the players were all just “Dust In The Wind”!
TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR BELTS TIGHT, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
