A.J. Allmendinger

As the NASCAR boys and girl, that GoDaddy driver, Danica, move into Louden N.H. this weekend, there is still a cloud of uncertainty hanging over A.J. Almendinger’s head.

We all are aware that “The Dinger’s” reputation is under assault, following his drug test failure last Saturday night.  He was suspended indefinitely, pending the resolution of that failed drug test.  The short-term substitution at Daytona was “Sudden” Sam Hornish, Jr.  Penske Racing has, again, put Sam Hornish, Jr. into the Shell/Pennzoil Dodge for the race this weekend at Louden.

Bernie has “The Dinger” for her choice, and consequently will receive the points that the #22 car, and Hornish, generates for the race Sunday.  Since A.J. has requested that his “B” sample be tested, the resolution of the failed drug test will take on a more definite path, when the results of the “B” sample are made known.  When NASCAR decides the outcome of Almendinger’s failed drug test, and what the course of punishment/rehab will be, then I will address it as well.

FYI Dawn has “The Dinger” at The Glen in three weeks.

The Louden picks

Sunday’s picks bounce all over the top twelve in points.  Marc, Richard, and Carole have all decided “to stick with the Biff”.  Leon and Jim have opted to hang with one of the beer wagons, Kevin Harvick.  On the other hand, Scott and Dawn have chosen the other beer wagon, “Blazingly Bad” Brad Keselowski.

Karen and Carlton have hung their collective hats on the quick delivery of the FedEx car driven by Denny Hamlin.  Zee and Dan have, obviously joined up with the Army and Ryan Newman. Last of the multi player choices are Jerry and Carolyn, riding along with Tony Stewart.  That numbers 13 players who share in picks this weekend, the other five players are independents!

The burning questions has to be answered

Will Dawn hold on to her slim 8 point lead?  Can Jason hold his 1 point edge over Jim for second place?  Can Jeremy, our earlier leader, mount a charge back to the front?  Jeremy is just 6 points out of third place, and just 15 points out of the lead.

Who will pick the winner?  Who will score the most points?

And the real barn burner question is, how many points will David score this week?

GO DAVID!

David’s Pick

I am sure that many of you are wondering who our resident dirt tracker has picked for this week at Louden.  Well, he has broken his streak of picking former dirt trackers, however, he has stepped way out on limb with is choice of Travis Kvapil.

Drive it like you stole it, Travis!

TIL THEN, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
