It is the third week in the 2013 season, and that can only mean that NASCAR is in Sin City for the weekend!  Yesterday, Thursday, the weather was ripe for some fast speeds on the race track.  It was an open test for the Gen 6 Sprint Cup cars to get acclimatized to the high banked 1 1/2 mile race track.

This morning, Friday, the weather at the race track is overcast, cool, with periods of rain.  There has been no activity on the race track so far, other than the track dryers.  It will be later in the afternoon, if at all, before the Nationwide and/or Sprint Cup cars proceeds onto the track for practice.

 

Our Picks

 

It looks like a majority of the players, 5 in all, have selected “The Las Vegas Weasel”, Kyle Busch as their choice to hoist the trophy Sunday afternoon.  Those five players rooting for ol Kylie are, Karen, Zee, David, Jeremy, and Sue.  I guess all those players must have a little sweet tooth, and longing for a bag of M&M’s to sooth their urge!

“Smoke”, Tony Stewart, almost has as many players, 4, rolling the bones for him, and hoping he brings home the trophy at the LVMS.  Those players include Jason, Jerry, Bernie, and yours truly.  Nine of the seventeen players have either Kylie of Smoke as their winner this Sunday!

Last weeks race winner, Carl Edwards, has two players, Dawn and Edie hoping that he can make it two races in a row.

The 2013 Daytona 500 winner, Jimmie Johnson, has Marc and Dan in his copilot’s seat this Sunday.

The rest of the players all have individual picks, and therefore, they are in business for themselves!
