The Kobalt 400 at the LVMS is now in the history books. Today was, in fact, a race for the history books. Prior to today, there have only been two drivers to win a Sprint Cup race on their birthday, Cale Yarborough, and Kyle Busch. Today you can add Matt Kenseth to that select fraternity!
However, none of the players were fortunate enough to have selected Matt Kenseth for the Kobalt 400.
Movers and Shakers
Richard “The NASCAR Picker” was the highest scoring player this week, gathering up 44 points. Richard picked Kasey Kahne, which was the most dominating car in the race. Even though Kahne was the most dominating car, he was unable to close the deal, finishing second to Kenseth.
Carole was the second highest scoring player. She picked “Blazingly Bad” Brad Keselowski, and was rewarded 42 points for his third place finish.
There were five players that logged 41 points this weekend. Karen, who jumped up into a tie with Dawn for the lead, Zee, David, ” The Mighty Midget throttle jockey”, “Coach Jeremy”, and Sue, all were riding with The Las Vegas Weasel (TLVW), Kyle Busch!
Dawn and Edie picked “Cousin Carl” Edwards, and for their efforts they received 39 points.
And there is one player, poor Carlton, that hopes that his luck will change dramatically when NASCAR sets up shop at Bristol next weekend. Poor old Carlton has logged scores of 8, 8, and 17 points today in Las Vegas! He is a cool 91 points behind his wife, Dawn, and my Karen, the current leaders after week #3!
TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
