This weekend the travelling circus known as NASCAR motors on into the Lone Star state, in particular, the northwest suburbs of the Dallas-Forth Worth metroplex, the Texas Motor Speedway. As we are all well aware, the racing here at the high banked, high speed, Texas Motor Speedway traditionally produces some very fast, and very good side-by-side racing!
Our Texas Picks
It appears that almost one quarter of the players have united in their choice for the NRA 500 at Texas. Four of our players, Marc, Jason, Jeremy, and yours truly have chosen the winner from the Las Vegas race last month, Matt Kenseth, to lead the pack to the checkered flag Sunday. Kenseth does have a very good average finish over the last two years at TMS, therefore, he is a very good pick this Sunday.
Four drivers have two players each supporting their efforts in trying to win the NRA 500. Karen and Dawn are proudly “sticking with the Biff”. Zee and “Bernie The Bay Area Bandit” are hanging with “Mr. Four-Time”, Jeff Gordon this weekend. “A&M Aggie Sue” and “Richard The NASCAR Picker” are bellying up to the bar, and are ready to grab a few Buds with Kevin Harvick. Carole and Carlton are backing “I hate blocking, never have and never will”, the supreme hypocrite, Tony Stewart! (Need I remind everyone who created the single largest pile of crumple sheet metal in 2012, the October Talladega race, Smoke!) And lastly, there are two players, Edie and Dan, rooting for the other beer wagon, the Miller Lite Ford, driven by “Blazingly Bad” Brad Keselowski!
The above enumeration of our picks adds up to fourteen of the seventeen players picks. That means that there are three players left that are in “bidnez” for themselves this weekend!
Good luck to all this weekend!
TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
