The FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks from Dover International Speedway is now complete. For The Redneck Fantasy League, this signifies the beginning of the second segment. For the Sprint Cup Series, it signifies the halfway point in “the regular season’, that is, just thirteen more races until “the Chase” begins!
Movers and Shakers
Today two of the female players put it to the rest of the players! Both Zee and Edie were putting all their marbles in the Stewart-Haas Racing #14 Chevy, driven by the co-owner, Tony Stewart. For their efforts, Edie and Zee received the most points, 47, and therefore, moved to the top of the leader board!
“Richard The NASCAR Picker” was the second highest scorer, gathering up 42 points from ol Kylie Busch’s fourth place finish.
“Blazingly Bad” Brad Keselowski finished fifth, and thereby, giving Karen, “A&M Aggie Sue”, David, and Marc all 40 points each to start off this segment.
Jeremy was the only one to select Clint Bowyer this week. Bowyer finished sixth in the race Sunday, and that gave Jeremy 38 points.
Lastly, “Dan the Numbers Cruncher”, was the only player to pick Kevin Harvick. Harvick finished eighth and gave Dan 37 points to start off this segment.

Video of the day
I have embedded this video below just for the winner of the race today,Tony Stewart. I found it to appropriate, now that he has emerged from his hibernation. This song brings to light his reference, from Auto Club Speedway, to Joey Logano as a rich kid who never has had to work a day in his life. You may remember their little semi-attempt at a fight! Now that Smoke has finally climbed out of his sleeping tomb, I thought that everyone might get a kick out of John Fogerty and Creedance Clearwater Revival’s 1969 hit, “Fortunate Son”!
TIL NEXT TIME,PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
