Jeff Gordon

We have now passed the halfway point of segment #2.  Six races down, and six races to go!

This week NASCAR takes its show on the road to The Granite State, racing at The New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  This is not just another weekly NASCAR race.  Rather, it is one of the tracks that NASCAR returns to race during The Chase!  So all the contenders, mainly the top ten in points, will be paying close attention to the set-up on their race cars that will work this time around at Louden.  Because, more than likely, some derivation of this set-up will be what will work on their cars, in just a couple of months, when NASCAR returns in September.

Our Louden Picks

This week, “Mr. Five-Time”, Jeff Gordon, is the overwhelming favorite, and is the pick by five of our players!  Zee, Jerry, “Jason the Latent Tie Dye Hippie”, “Dan the Numbers Cruncher”, and “David the Mudslinging Throttle Jockey”, are all hoping that they have selected the winner of The Camping World RV 301 at Louden, N.H.

Kasey Kahne has both “A&M Aggie Sue”, and “Jeremy The Coach” riding copilot with him this Sunday.  Additionally, Marc, and Carlton are rooting this week for Denny Hamlin to grab the victory.  Lastly, Karen and “Leon The Humble Sheriff” are hoping that, “where there is “Smoke”, there is fire”!  That is to say, that they are both holding out hope that Tony Stewart can emerge from his “summer slumber”, and win at Louden this Sunday!

There are six players, this week, that are real individuals, and as such are in “bidnez” for themselves!

Straight From The Crapper

Let it be known that Jim is our current “cellar dweller”, scoring just 172 points in this segment.  However, he only holds that position by a mere six point lead.  Carole is the next closest player to Jim’s last place resting spot, with a cumulative total of 178 points.  Just one point behind Carole is our illustrious accountant, “Dan The Numbers Cruncher”, with 179 points!  The husband and wife duo of Dawn and Carlton are tied with 181 points, and are only two points behind “Dan The Numbers Cruncher”!

Therefore, we have two distinctive races this segment, one for the lead, and one for the crapper!

Good luck to all this week!
