Juan Pablo Montoya

With this weeks latest news from the garage, Juan Pablo Montoya will not be returning to the Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing’s #42 Target Chevy in 2014, and Brian Vickers will be the new driver of the Michael Waltrip Racing’s #55 Aaron’s Dream Machine Toyota in 2014, NASCAR makes its last trip into the backyard of the USA auto industry, Michigan International Speedway.

Our Michigan Picks

This week almost 1/3 of the players, 5 to be exact, have chosen just one driver, Matt Kenseth.  Those players who have their second segment fortunes riding with Kenseth are; “David The Mudslinging Throttle Jockey”, Jim, Dawn, “Jason the Latent Tie Dye Hippie”, and yours truly, “Leon the Humble Sheriff”.

Even though Denny Hamlin is still recovering from his compression fracture of his back, there are three players, “Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle”, Zee, and Edie, all of them hope that he can show the field the fast way around MIS.

“Jerry The Buschwacker” and “Dan The Numbers Cruncher” are hoping that their pick, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., can somehow break out of his year long winning drought at MIS.

Additionally, both Carlton and “Richard The NASCAR Picker” are taking their chances, sticking with the Tony Stewart pick, and his replacement driver this week, Austin Dillon.

The remaining five players are “in bidnez” for themselves this week.

I will leave you with a video from a local Detroit boy, Kid Rock, along with The Zac Brown Band, covering one of my favorite Grand Funk Railroad tunes.

TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
