This week starts the third, and final segment of the race season. Of the ten paying positions for the first two segments only Karen has been a repeat winner. Lest we forget that Karen won the first segment, and finished second in the second segment. That means that eight of the ten paying places were won by eight different people! I think that bodes well that the money is being spread out diversely, and not one player taking us all to the cleaners like a certain player did recently!
Our Atlanta Picks
This week it looks as though three of our players are on a sentimental journey. Dawn, “A&M Aggie Sue”, and “David The Mudslinging Throttle Jockey”, all are putting their fortunes in the driver’s seat of “Mr. Four-Time”, Jeff Gordon.
Similarly, Jim, Edie, and Carole, are putting all their marbles in the sack of “Blazingly Bad” Brad Keselowski, and his Miller Lite beer wagon.
Meanwhile, Carlton and Zee are hoping that “Mr. Five-Time”, Jimmie Johnson’s luck will return back to the way it has been for most of this season and secure a victory for the tow of them.
And lastly, “Jason the Latent Tie Dye Hippie‘, and “Bernie the Bay Area Bandit” will be hanging out at their local Dollar General store, all the while rooting on Matt Kenseth Sunday night.
If you were adding up those previously mentioned player, you will see that there are seven players not mentioned. That can only mean one thing, those not mentioned are all “in bidnez” for themselves this week!
I would be remiss if I did not mentioned that our resident “Mudslinging Throttle Jockey”, David is a bit richer this week. He won the feature event at Santa Maria this past weekend, pocketing a cool $1000.00 for his win! Additionally his other midget, driven by Terry Nichols, finished right behind David, in second place! A good payday for the Neverlift Motorsports race team!
Congrats to Neverlift Motorsports and David Prickett Racing!
As this summer begins to wind down, this Redneck is calmly hanging out in the heart of the CA wine country at the Napa County Fairgrands in Calistoga, CA. I am hanging out with Jim, Edie, Bernie, and her husband, Dan, awaiting this weekend’s Louis Vermeil Classic. The Louie Vermeil Classic is some of the finest sprint car and midget racing on the West Coast. And, of course, David will be racing both Saturday night and Sunday night at the Louis Vermeil Classic, along with his other two team mates in the Neverlift Motorsports/David Prickett Racing midgets!
What could be better than hanging out in the heart of wine country and watching some great dirt track racing?
NASCAR rolls into Atlanta, this week. However if I were to be more correct the track is southeast of downtown Atlanta, actually the track is in Hampton,GA.
TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP,FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
