Kyle Busch came on strong over the final 40 laps of Sunday night’s Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and went on to post his fourth victory of the season!

Movers and Shakers

There was only one player to correctly pick the winner, Kyle Busch, this week, yours truly, “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff”!  With this race being the first race of the the third segment, “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff” is sitting at the head of the heap all by his lonesome, with 47 points to his credit!

Sitting second on the totem pole this week is none other than “Richard the NASCAR Picker” with his score of 44 points from Joey Logano’s second place finish.

“Jerry The Buschwacker” lived up to his reputation, picked the elder Busch brother, Kurt, and grabbed 40 points from Atlanta.  Likewise, “Jeremy The Coach” also scored 40 points.  However, Jeremy’s pick was for the race was Ryan Newman.

“A&M Aggie Sue” and Dawn each picked “Mr. Four-Time”, Jeff Gordon.  Both were rewarded with 39 points for Gordon’s 6th place finish Sunday.

“Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle” selected NASCAR’s most popular drIver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and was nicely rewarded with 36 points for Junior’s 8th place finish.

“Jason The Latent Tie Dye Hippie” and “Bernie the Bay Area Bandit” each gained 32 points for  Matt Kenseth’s 12th place finish at Atlanta.

Straight From The Crapper

This week we have four players who have exhibited their ineptitude in picking winners at Atlanta!  Three of those four players picked “Blazingly Bad: Brad Keselowski. Keselowski’s 35th place finish rewarded Jim, Edie, and Carole with just a paltry 10 points!  To start out the new segment with just 10 points puts these three players at a huge disadvantage!

Notwithstanding the disadvantage that Jim, Edie, and Carole are put into, Marc superceded all three of their ineptness, by scoring only 8 points!  Therefore, Marc is rewarded as this week’s crappiest picker!

Next week NASCAR moves to the “Badlands” of the Henrico County Fairgrounds, better known as Richmond International Raceway!  Additionally, it is the last race of the regular season.

Be advised that I will need your Chase picks no later than Tuesday of next week, September 10th!
