Good morning from Phoenix Int’l Raceway!

The weather is beautiful here at “the diamond in the desert!  For most of you all the fall weather has set in, the leaves are turning golden brown, and the weather is cooling off.  Not so here in Phoenix!  The temperatures are forecast to be in the mid 80’s, and after last night’s second session of Camping World Trucks practice, it appears that Darrell Wallace, Jr. had a bout with a bruised ego, of lost temper, or something!

PIR is not considered a “bullring”, however, I will issue the same warning that goes along with, Bristol, Richmond, and Martinsville. All crewmenbers should check their egos, their tempers, and especially check their weapons at the pit gate this weekend!  It just makes for a much safer environment in the pits!

Now after I issued my short track warning and disclaimer, it is going to a full weekend of racing with the K&N West, Trucks, Nationwide, and Sprint Cup on the venue here!

Our Picks

This week it looks like ol Kylie Busch is the focus of four of our players this Sunday.  Yep, “David The Mudslinging Throttle Jockey”, “Jerry The Buschwacker”, Edie, and “Richard The NASCAR Picker”, are sharing the M&M’s cookie jar this week!  Will they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar, or will they be celebrating a victory Sunday?

Meanwhile, Dawn, “Jason The Latent Tie Dye Hippie”, and Marc are rooting for “Kemosabe”!  For those who watched the movie “The Lone Ranger” this summer, you found out just what Tonto meant when he called “The Lone Ranger” Kemosabe for all these years—— the meaning was “wrong brother”!!!  So after that long dissertation, you now know that these three players are hoping that “the wrong brother”, Kurt Busch brings home the hardware Sunday!

“Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle”, and Zee are going to be slugging down the 5hour Energy Drink, and hoping that Clint Bowyer can bring them 48 points!

Meanwhile, “Jim, aka Chiefy” and “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff” will be hanging out at, or near, the Budweiser tap, both hoping that those big old Clydesdales can deliver their beer wagon to the winner’s circle at PIR.

Lastly, both Carole and “Dan The Numbers Cruncher” are holding out that “The Rocket Man”, Ryan Newman can deliver one more victory for Stewart-Haas Racing before he slides on out of that organization for a job at Richard Childress Racing.

The remaining six players are “in bidnez” for themselves this week!

So my friends, as you watch the race this weekend, “Your Most Humble Sheriff”, “The Buschwacker”, and “A&M Aggie Sue” will be watching the races from their seats high above turn one in the Allison Tower!

Good luck to all players this week!

TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
