Now that “the 2014 Super Bowl of Racing” is history, and in the record books for 2014, NASCAR transports the show out West to Phoenix International Raceway for the second race of the season.

 

Our Phoenix Picks

 

Let’s take a look at our picks for the one mile oval in The Valley of The Sun.

This week our picks are sort of spread out equally among six different drivers.  However, there are two drivers that have a slight edge in supporters.  Both Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick have three players that are solidly in their corner at Phoenix.  The supporters for Carl Edwards this week include Carlton, “A&M Aggie” Sue, and Dan “The Numbers Cruncher”.  Edie, Jim, aka “Chiefy”, and Bernie “The Bay Area Bandit”, are all hailing Harvick as their man, all the while, trying to grab a piece of The Redneck Fantasy League lead early in this segment.

Karen “The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle”, and Jerry “The Buschwacker” are hoping that Matt Kenseth can keep both of them in the hunt for supremacy in the first segment!

Additionally, both Carole and Zee are hoping that their choice, Kasey Kahne, can make them 2-for-2 in picking winners in 2014!

Meanwhile, both Jason “The Latent Tie Dye Hippie”, and his younger brother, Jeremy “The Coach” are hoping that ol “Six Pack”, Jimmie Johnson, will vault them up into the leadership position after two races.

Lastly, Marc and David “The Mudslinging Throttle Jockey” are betting that “The Outlaw”, Kurt Busch, will enable both of them to leap frog up into a contending place early on in this segment, as well!

The remaining players are truly in “bidnez” for themselves!
