Well it was another marathon Sunday today!  In the first four races this year there have been two excessively long rain delays,  If you remember correctly there was a 6:22 minute rain and tornado delays at Daytona, and today two different rain delays.  Additionally, there was an unexplained turning on of the caution lights with 2 1/2 laps to go at Bristol!  Fortunately, the mysterious caution lights illumination was followed immediately by a down pour, ending the race with Carl Edwards being declared the winner.

Movers and Shakers

There was only one player who had the forethought to pick “Concrete Carl” to win the race.  Zee was one of those players who “was in bidnez for herself”, and was rewarded with 47 points.  With those 47 points gathered up at Bristol, Zee rocketed into the points lead this week!

Next on the scoreboard is “Jeremy The Coach”, “Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle”, and Jim, aka “Chiefy”, with 39 points from Denny Hamlin’s 6th place finish.  Dawn and Marc was in the third highest scoring group at Bristol, with 37 points Sunday.

There was a first this week!  “Bernie The Bay Area Bandit” was the first of the players to pick “Young Money”, Kyle Larson, this segment.  Fortunately, “Young Money” had a very good afternoon/evening, running as high as third during the middle of the race.  However, Kyle Larson faded somewhat, but nevertheless finishing in 10th place and giving Bernie 34 points.

“A&M Aggie Sue” finished the day logging 33 points.

Meanwhile, “Jason The Latent Tie Dye Hippie” finished the day with 31 points.

Straight From The Crapper

This week there were four players who excelled in exhibiting their knack for picking losers!  Both Carlton and “Dan The Numbers Cruncher” selected ol Kylie Busch, who is normally a great pick at Bristol, winning five times there, however not this Sunday!  This Sunday, however,Ol Kylie finished in 29th place in The Food City 500, giving both Carlton and “Dan The Numbers Dude” just 16 points!  Additionally, “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff” went with another five time Bristol winner, the older brother of the Busch family. “The Outlaw”, Kurt Busch.  Kurt really did no favors for “The Sheriff” Sunday, yielding him only 10 points!

Even though the three previous players did extremely poorly at Bristol, scoring 16 and 10 points respectively, the man with the crappiest picks of the week is really no stranger to this award.  “David The Mudslinging Throttle Jockey” won the award this week, hands down with just six (6) points scored!

Moving to “The Outhouse Award”, Marc made a big move to get “out of the crapper” scoring 37 points this week.  However, it was still not enough to get off of the throne this week.  He did, however, slice away the 55 point deficit that existed between himself and David.  But after Bristol, Marc still has a firm grip on his position as “Prince of The Poophouse” by a total of 26 points!

Next week NASCAR travels to Southern California, Fontana to be exact.  So by midweek some of the drivers will be “getting onboard a westbound 747”.  Hopefully it will not rain next Sunday.  After all we know that “it never rains in Southern California”!

TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP,FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
