No it is not 1965, it is March 2014 and NASCAR moves, once again, to the West Coast for the weekend!

The third week in March, as has been the case for the last few years, is the time of the year when the teams are “California Dreaming”!  This will be the third race in the last five weeks that the racing originates from out West.

 

The Standings After Week Four

 

Let’s take a look at the standings now that 1/3 of the first segment is now complete.

Zee’s high score of the week of 47 points rewarded to her choice from here choice of Carl Edwards at Bristol, catapulted her up three spots and into the top spot on the totem pole!

Even though Zee moved up to the top spot, she did not experience the largest movement of the week.  There were three players who marched up six (6) places in the standings. “Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle” grabbed 39 points, and thereby rocketed six (6) places up in the standings to land in 6th place.  Dawn also moved up six places, resting now in 5th position, as a results of her 37 points Sunday.  Lastly, “Jeremy The Coach” marched up the ladder six places, now sitting in third place with his score of 39 points.

Additionally, on the positive side, “Bernie The Bay Area Bandit” moved up two spots to land in 13th place.

Lastly, “A&M Aggie Sue” stepped up just one spot.

On the negative side of the movement Sunday, there was actually much more movement down the totem pole than there was movement up the totem pole!  There were four players who plummeted down in the standings five (5) spots!  Edie, “Dan The Numbers Cruncher”, “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff”, and Carlton all lost big time Sunday!  Edie now sits in 10th, “Dan The Numbers Dude” sits just one spot below Edie in 11th.  Carlton fell from 2nd spot to now sit in 6th.  “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff” plummeted to down near the bottom, now sitting in 12th!  These four players all dropped like a hot potato this week!

Meanwhile, Jim, aka “Chiefy”. Carole, “Jerry The Buschwacker”, and “David The Mudslinging Throttle Jockey” all lost just one spot this week.

PS Just a side note, there is 7 points that separate fourth place through tenth place!
