As NASCAR makes it’s first it’s first foray into California for 2014, the teams roll into, and not too far from, the beaches of Southern California.  Even though Fontana is about 45 miles inland from the beaches of Huntington, Seal, Newport, and Laguna, that is what people think of when they think of SoCal.  Nevertheless, when one thinks of SoCal, we think of the beaches of LA and Orange County, not the blue collar areas of Colton, Fontana, Riverside, or San Bernadino, the area from where this race originates!

 

Our Auto Club 400 Picks

 

It looks like the big winner, this week, is the driver of Roush-Fenway Racing #16 Ford.  This week there are four players who, “are sticking with The Biff”, Greg Biffle!  Those four players are “Jim, aka Chiefy”, Edie, “Jerry The Buschwacker”, and “Dan The Numbers Cruncher”.

This week there are two drivers who have three players each hoping that they “hit pay dirt” for them!  The three players who are going shopping at Lowe’s this Sunday, all the while wishing that “Mr. Six Pack”, Jimmie Johnson, picks up another victory, are “Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle”, Zee, and “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff”.  Conversely, Dawn, Marc, and “Bernie The Bay Area Bandit” are supporting “Rowdy” Kyle Busch this weekend.

Lastly “Jason The Latent Tie Dye Hippie” and his younger bro, “Jeremy The Coach”, are hoping that Matt Kenseth can come through with his first victory in 2014, and give both of them a timely boost in the standings.

And, as usual, at this point in the article, I mention that those not mentioned above are “in bidnez” for themselves this week!
