This week the “regular season” comes to a close with The Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond International Raceway, and after the race the sixteen drivers will be decided for The Chase playoff.  I believe that you will see desperate drivers make desperate moves, hoping that they can eliminate the desperation that they, and their race team feels, being on the outside of The Chase looking in!

Our Richmond Picks

Once again there is a cadre of players that are feeling good about ol “Mr. Four-Time, Jeff Gordon, and his ability to pull off another victory this season. Zee, Dawn, Marc, and “Jason The Latent Tie Dye Hippie” are all feeling philanthropic, a have signed up again this week to help Jeffie and AARP drive to end world hunger!

Even though there is a perceived impression that ol “Six-Pack”, Jimmie Johnson, is in a “funk” as of late, “A&M Aggie Sue”, “David The MudslingingThrottle Jockey”, and “Dan The Numbers Cruncher” will be gathering at their local Lowe’s for a secret pep rally beamed over yet another secret broadband, at still an entirely secret time!

As Carl Edwards winds down his tenure at Roush-Fenway Racing, there are three players who have loaded up on Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes this week. Notwithstanding the fact that they may be lactose intolerant, “Doug the Former Mudslinger and Psychic, Turned Kettle Corn Dude”, “Doug, Jr. The Kettle Corn Crown Prince In Waiting”, and “Leon The Retired Airline Captain, Undocumented Strawberry Picker, Part-Time Cardiologist and Strawberry Picker, and Your Most Humble Sheriff” are all hoping that after Carl does his back flip, Tony the Tiger lets out his famous roar!

Over the last few weeks it has appeared that, for Kyle Busch, the leaves have fallen off of this Busch!  However, both “Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle” and “Carlton The Doorman” are hoping that KyBu can be resuscitated!

Lastly, “Jeremy The Coach” and “Jim, aka Chiefy” are hoping that “Young Money”, Kyle Larson, will pull off a win, and therefore, secure a spot for his team in the 2015 Chase.

The remaining six players not mentioned this week all have independent selections for Richmond, which make all of them “in bidnez’ for themselves this week!

Good luck to all!

TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
