This weekend NASCAR winds up it’s so called Western Swing.  This week’s race will originate from Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. This does not conclude NASCAR’s visit to the state of CA for the year.  NASCAR will, make one more trip out too California in late June for the road race at Sonoma.

Our Auto Club Picks

This week there are four drivers who have a cheering section of three players each.

To begin with, Jeff Gordon has three players, Linda, Carole, and “Jerry The Buschwacker” helping him in “the drive to end hunger”!

Likewise,  “Jim, aka Chiefy”, “Doug The Former Mudslinger and Psychic, Turned Kettle Corn Dude”, as well as Marc, were seen at their local Wurth dealer trying to buy who know what!  Do you think that it is just because these three players are hoping that “Blazingly Bad” Brad Keselowski can stop that “Freaky Fast” SHR No.4 Chevy this week?

The third group of three players were seen in parking lot of Lowe’s yesterday.  Now I know that “Karen The Highly Opinionated Southern Belle”, “A&M Aggie Sue”, and “Jeremy the Coach” are not currently doing any “Do-It-Yourself” projects currently at their houses!  Therefore, the only logical conclusion would be that these players were hoping to get a glimpse of their man this week, Jimmie Johnson!

The fourth group of three players this week are hoping against hope that “where there is smoke, there is fire”!  Those that are hoping that Tony Stewart has at least one victory left in his tool bag are “Lonna The Quilt Angel”, “Dan The Numbers Cruncher”, and yours truly, “Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff”.

Lastly there are two players who have rallied around the replacement driver for Kyle Busch, David Ragan.  This week those two players are the brothers Gandy, Brandon and “Doug Jr. The Crown Prince of Kettle Corn”.

If you have counted that is a total of 14 players that were previously mentioned. Doing the math that leaves 8 players that are “in bidnez” for themselves this week!

Checking the weather forecast for Fontana, CA this week, I can say that “it never rains is Southern California“!

TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN”!
