With NASCAR unloading this week in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, more exactly the track sits just over the Ohio River in Sparta, KY, there is a new rules package for the teams to deal with. Nevertheless that has no bearing on how the players fell this week.
Our Kentucky Choices
One quarter of those playing in our fantasy league have jumped on the Matt Kenseth bandwagon this week. The list of six players include Jason The Tie Dye Hippie and All Around Edgy Dude, Doug, Jr. The Crowned Prince of Kettle Corn, Cole The Natural, Linda The Cookie Mom, Jim, aka Chiefy, and yours truly, Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff.
There are three different drivers that have a pair of players rooting for them this week.
Karen The Highly Opinionated Southen Belle and Dan The Numbers Cruncher are betting the farm that Joey Loagano can return to his Daytona 500 form.
Edie and A&M Aggie Sue are holding firm that Kurt Busch can add a third win to his total for 2015.
Lastly, Carole and Jerry The Buschwacker are going to bank that Jimmie Johnson can put a fifth win into his season totals this week.
If you were counting the numbers you will know that there are 12 players, more than half of The Redneck Fantasy League, that are independent thinkers for the Kentucky race. Another way of looking at those numbers is that there are 12 players that are in bidnez for themselves!
Good luck to all!
With all the rain delays that have plagued the race schedule so far, I sure hope that we do not see any “Kentucky Rain”! “Seven lonely days and a dozen towns ago…”
TIL NEXT TIME, PULL YOUR GLOVES UP, FLIP YOUR VISOR DOWN, AND LET’S GO RACIN’!
