It is that time of the year race fans!

The Super Bowl has come and gone and that can only mean one thing, it is time for the big boys to “let the big dog eat”! That’s right, it time for the NASCAR boys to unload their new pieces, get out on the track, and mash “the load pedal” at the Daytona International Speedway!

OUR DAYTONA PICKS

Since our fantasy league has shrunk in size this year (just 11 players now) we, most likely, won’t have a huge number of players banding together at certain tracks with certain drivers.

There are three drivers that have two players rooting them on this Sunday.

Alphabetically, we will say that both Leon Your Most Humble Sheriff and Linda The Cookie Mom are pushing their chips all in for Hendrick Motorsports driver, Alex Bowman. Since Bowman The Showman, once again, will start on the front row for the Daytona 500, providing he does not crash out in his Duel Thursday, this might be the year that he could bring it all home when the checkered flag flies Sunday evening.

However, Jim, aka Chiefy and Dan The Numbers Cruncher have a very different feeling on how the race will end. Both players are solidly behind the 2019 Cup champ, Kyle Busch, Sunday. Rowdy is not a bad choice for Sunday, even though he has never led the field to the checkered flag in the Daytona 500.

Lastly, both Amber the Extremely Lucky Cheddar Head and Bernie The Bay Area Bandit are back the Elk Grove, CA native, Kyle Larson, for this race. They are really hoping that this is Young Money’s time to drag the field to the checkered flag!

That leaves five players this week to express their independence and to be totally in bidnez for themselves!

So as we all tune into FOX this Sunday for the race we will be witnessing all the “thunder on thunder road” at the Daytona 500!
